Recreation Survey - Ufford Parish & John Clare Country Print E-mail
The increasing growth of Peterborough and the planned major expansion of its population potentially increases pressures on the surrounding areas for recreational space and activities. It is believed that no information is currently available as to how the area between Peterborough and Stamford is used for recreational activities. Ufford Parish Council (UPC) felt that this issue needed addressing.

The objective of this survey is to begin to understand how the area surrounding Ufford and very broadly bounded by Helpston, Bainton and Barnack is used for recreation and what enhancements could be made. This initial survey is indicative and not definitive in that it is limited to internet responses only. UPC does not have the resources to undertake a more wide ranging survey.

UPC would like to thank those members of Peterborough City Council, the Environment Capital Partnership and other bodies and individuals who gave their time in reviewing the questions and making valuable suggestions for their improvement.

The data collected is completely anonymous. A summary of the results will be fed back those bodies and groups who contributed to the development of this survey.

UPC would like to encourage all users of the area to respond, whether they be local residents, residents of Peterborough or Stamford or those from further away who use this area for recreation.
