General Aims

UPC Policies

  • To provide services and information which are appropriate to a rural community and which meet best value criteria,
  • To foster and support groups and organisations in the parish which contribute and benefit the village and its residents,
  • To maintain and enhance the village environment for all its residents,
  • To encourage the appreciation of the village and its environment by visitors,
  • To develop and encourage the use of the rural area for considerate and appropriate recreational use by both villagers and visitors,
  • To conserve the village environment, its buildings, open spaces and heritage for the enjoyment of all,
  • To work with neighbouring villages and landowners in defining and delivering schemes which enable all to enjoy the villages and their surroundings,


In common with many Parish Councils UPC was struggling to achieve anything for its residents. Consequently, to assist in achieving these aims UPC members are actively engaged with Peterborough & Cambridgeshire Councils. UPC has representation on....
