Langdyke events over Christmas and January 2008

Thursday 27 December - work off the Christmas excess at a Swaddywell
work party - cut down a few trees and then warm up round a bonfire.
Meet at the pit entrance (on the right after Willow Brook Farm Shop) at
1400, bring your own mince pies!

Tuesday 1 January - our ever popular New Year's Day walk, around Maxey
Pits, meet at Helpston Post Office at 1400.  A chance to blow away the
cob-webs and to enjoy a fine walk around this exciting new development -
a large new nature reserve - and it's on our doorstep.

Wednesday 23 January - indoor talk about the UK's most exciting habitat
restoration project, the Great Fen, a huge new nature reserve just south
of Peterborough.  Chris Gerrard who is the Great Fen Project manager
will talk to us about the vision and the reality of creating 3,500
hectares of wetland paradise for animals, birds and people!  7.30 pm at
John Clare School, Helpston
