Overnight 1st June offenders have entered a business on the High Street in Maxey and stolen 20 vehicle batteries intended for scrap

If anyone saw a vehicle loaded up or anything suspicious in the days before or that evening please can they ring the police - time frame for the theft is from 7pm 1st June to 6.30am on 2nd June

The firm have reported transit vans on site but they normally just drive around and drive off - just a reminder to stay alert and report anything suspicious in your villages

Scrap metal prices have dipped very slightly but sadly not enough to prevent the thefts continuing.
